Capture the Happiness of Family!... Mapo-gu Childbirth Encouragement Contest Held

Mapo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Gang-su) is holding a "Childbirth Encouragement Slogan and Photo Contest" to raise social awareness about pregnancy and childbirth.

Currently, Mapo-gu is focusing on creating childbirth and childcare infrastructure such as the "Sunlight Center," "Cheokkeut Center," "Babysitter House," and "Mom Cafe." This contest is also planned as part of these efforts.

Anyone interested in encouraging childbirth can participate, and the submission period is until September 13.

The theme is slogans that convey a positive image of marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting, and photos that depict the daily life of a happy family.

Slogans must be within 15 characters, and photos must be JPG/JPEG files with a resolution of at least 3000*2000 pixels and a size of over 3MB. Up to two photos can be submitted.

Applicants who wish to participate can fill out the application form posted in the announcement section on the Mapo-gu Office website and submit the slogan and photos together via email to the person in charge.

After the first and second evaluations by the judging panel, prizes will be awarded: 300,000 KRW for one grand prize winner, 200,000 KRW for one excellence prize winner, and 100,000 KRW for one encouragement prize winner.

The results will be announced in September on the Mapo-gu Office website and through individual contact with the winners.

The winning works will be used as the official slogan for the October Pregnant Women’s Day commemorative event and actively utilized in various childbirth encouragement campaigns.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, “As the low birthrate issue has emerged as an important challenge in our society, I hope this contest will help many residents develop a positive perception of pregnancy and childbirth.”
