The Korean Society of Product Culture and Design Holds International Universal Design Exhibition and Seminar with Hankyong National University

The Korea Product Culture Design Association (President Kim Gok-mi), together with Hankyong National University, announced that they held the International Universal Design Exhibition and Seminar at the Jeju International Convention Center from August 25 to 29.


The International Universal Design Seminar took place on August 26 (Monday) at the Jeju International Convention Center, Hall B session room.


The exhibition and seminar were organized in conjunction with the 22nd World Congress of the International Ergonomics Association, an official academic conference of the International Ergonomics Association, under the slogan "Better Ergonomics for the Future Human." Approximately 1,500 domestic and international figures, including about 700 participants from over 60 countries, were expected to attend. Additionally, 116 universal design works (61 domestic, 55 international) were on display.

The International Universal Design Seminar was held on August 26 (Monday) at 10:15 AM in the Jeju International Convention Center, Hall B session room, featuring presentations on △ "A Case Study on Intuitive Posters" by Professor Sun Byung-il (Namseoul University) △ "Universal Design and Application Case" by Professor Jang Chang-sik (Daegu University) △ "Evaluation and Utilization of Signage Information Transmission and Universal Design Elements" by Professor Kwak Sung-jun (Hankyong National University) △ "Universal Design: The Use of Pictograms and Iconography in Denmark" by Rikke Hansen △ and "2024 Universal Platform" by President Kim Gok-mi (Chungnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency). Kim Gok-mi, President of the Korea Product Culture Design Association and Director of the Chungnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, expressed her aspirations, stating, "In line with the slogan of the 22nd World Congress of the International Ergonomics Association, 'Better Ergonomics for the Future Human,' we prepared an exhibition highlighting outstanding universal design works by prominent domestic and international artists. Moving forward, we will prepare more meaningful exhibitions and academic conferences through exchanges with the International Ergonomics Association."
