On the 28th (local time), major foreign media reported that oil facilities and airports across Russia were attacked by Ukrainian drones.

Vasily Golubev, governor of Rostov Oblast in southern Russia, stated on Telegram that a fire broke out at an oil storage facility due to a drone attack.

Governor Golubev explained, "A fuel tank caught fire due to a drone attack in the Rostov Kamensky area," adding, "There were no casualties, and firefighters are extinguishing the fire."

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it shot down four drones overnight in the area but did not mention the attack on the oil storage facility. Foreign media reported that after two drones crashed in the Kamensky area, three tanks at the oil storage facility were engulfed in flames. In Voronezh Oblast, near the Ukrainian border, a fire caused by Ukrainian drone debris occurred near explosives but did not detonate, according to Alexander Gusev, governor of Voronezh Oblast.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that it destroyed eight drones over Voronezh airspace. In Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, east of Moscow, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency announced that air traffic was temporarily restricted in the morning due to a "security issue." Although no detailed explanation was given regarding the security threat, Baza reported that airport operations were suspended due to the threat of drone attacks.

In Kirov Oblast, north of Kazan, drones also attacked oil storage tanks, but no casualties or fires occurred, according to Alexander Sokolov, governor of Kirov Oblast, on Telegram. Ukraine has been conducting offensives in Kursk Oblast, near the Russian border, for three weeks and is intensifying drone attacks on the Russian mainland. In response, Russia recently launched large-scale concentrated airstrikes on Ukrainian energy facilities.
