On the 22nd, Iksan City in Jeonbuk announced that the unity event 'Cheongsimhwan' to revitalize the network of young farmers was held at Cafe Maridestar located in Ungpo-myeon.
According to the city, the event was hosted by the young farmers' organization 'Iksan 4-H Federation' (President Hanmaeum). Just as Cheongsimhwan calms anxious and tense minds, the event was prepared to offer comfort and rest to young farmers who are struggling to prepare for an uncertain future.
At the event, about 100 young farmers participated, including members of the Iksan 4-H Federation, members of the local young farmers' group 'Cheongchun Eoram,' alumni of the Agricultural and Fisheries University 'Future Agriculture Research Association,' and selected young successor farmers.

The event began with an introduction to Iksan City's youth policies, followed by networking time, a communication and empathy talk show, presentations on young farmers' growth cases, and a special lecture on music humanities.
Among the youth policies, those that helped farmers drew great interest. Recreation instructor Han Sang-jun led the networking session to create a communication platform among young farmers. Then, President Hanmaeum took the stage as a speaker to conduct an honest talk show addressing conflicts with the parent generation, a major concern for young farmers.
Presentations on young farmers' growth cases were given by Kang Ah-ran, a young farmer cultivating lemons at '1084 Farm' in Osan-myeon, and Jung Woo-seok, a young farmer growing roses at 'Saenggeum Farm' in Wanggung-myeon.
Kang Ah-ran shared her journey starting as a startup farmer without an agricultural foundation, being selected as a young successor farmer in 2021, and continuing her farming activities to date.
Jung Woo-seok, although a successor farmer, explained the time it took to become independent from his parents and grow. The two presenters shared their farming experiences from different circumstances.
At the event site, agricultural specialties produced and processed by Iksan's young farmers were exhibited. A flea market for used farm equipment and a popular photo booth spot were operated, providing various attractions and entertainment.
Deputy Mayor Kang Young-seok said, "I hope this was a time for young farmers, who are the hope and future of Iksan's agriculture and rural areas, to receive comfort from their tough daily lives and difficult emotions," adding, "We will frequently create opportunities for young farmers to communicate and help form human networks."
