Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) announced on the 22nd that it will establish a comprehensive response plan focusing on quarantine and medical measures for high-risk groups in preparation for the recent resurgence of COVID-19. The core of this response plan is to strengthen prevention and management of infection-vulnerable facilities such as elderly care facilities.
As the number of COVID-19 hospitalized patients has recently increased, the district has formed a 'Joint Task Force for Infection-Vulnerable Facilities' and held a working-level meeting on the 16th to discuss specific response measures.
This task force will focus on quickly conducting on-site investigations and joint responses to prevent further spread in the event of patient occurrences within infection-vulnerable facilities. The response measures include ▲ COVID-19 cluster outbreak response and management enhancement ▲ management of COVID-19 patients and contacts ▲ distribution of COVID-19 self-test kits and quarantine-related supplies.
District Mayor Park Hee-young said, "We will protect high-risk groups for COVID-19 and effectively block cluster outbreaks within infection-vulnerable facilities to prevent spread within the community," adding, "We will implement thorough quarantine measures to ensure a safe summer."
