Seonyang Soju has been experiencing management difficulties due to a continued decline in sales since the COVID-19 pandemic, compounded by advertising and marketing from large corporations with strong capital power. In order to overcome this crisis, labor and management have agreed to freeze wages this year.
Yoo Byunghak, head of the labor union, said, "All union members are well aware of the current management crisis, and we have come together to freeze wages in the spirit of overcoming it together."
Kim Gyusik, CEO, stated, "Based on the mutual trust built over the past 51 years between labor and management, we will join forces to overcome this crisis and firmly establish our status as a specialized soju company known for making excellent soju."
