Meanwhile, since Lotte's first entry with Lotteria in 1996, 19 affiliates including department stores, large marts, and hotels have been conducting business across Vietnam for over 30 years. In particular, Lotte Mall Westlake Hanoi, which opened last September, recently surpassed cumulative sales of 200 billion VND. Additionally, Lotte Ventures Vietnam became the first foreign venture investment corporation to receive corporate registration approval from the Vietnamese government and is about to operate an open innovation fund for investing in local startups. At the end of this month, Lotte plans to hold the 'Donghaeng Festival' together with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, where Korean small and medium enterprises and small business owners can directly meet with local distribution network officials in Vietnam to discuss market development.
