Hana Financial Group announced on the 22nd that it held the launch ceremony for the 4th class of 'Hana Waves,' the group's next-generation female leader development program, at Hana Bank's Euljiro headquarters on the 21st.
Hana Waves is a talent development program launched by Hana Financial to nurture the next generation of female leaders who will lead the future. ‘Waves’ stands for 'Women's Actions, Voices, Emotions,' symbolizing the creation of waves of innovation through women's actions, voices, and emotions.
Since the first class in 2021, a total of 98 participants have completed the program through the third class last year. Among them, seven have been promoted to executive positions, establishing the program as the group's representative female talent development initiative.

Going forward, participants are expected to grow into leaders equipped with expertise and leadership through various specialized courses in areas such as leadership, strategy, communication, team project activities, digital and data fields, and feedback from senior Waves alumni.
At the launch ceremony, Ham Young-joo, Chairman of Hana Financial Group, encouraged the Hana Waves participants and shared sincere advice as a senior on the attitudes and competencies required of leaders, while having an open communication session about challenges and actions for the group’s future.
Chairman Ham emphasized that Hana Financial Group’s organizational culture recognizes and nurtures employees who quietly perform well as leaders, regardless of academic background, qualifications, origin, or gender. He said, “To become a compelling leader, one must always lead by example and maintain competitiveness through continuous learning. The most important thing is to always think from the perspective of people, focusing on customers and employees, and winning their hearts is the starting point of management and the role of a leader.”
