Since its establishment in 2008, the foundation has donated a cumulative total of 10 billion KRW to 2,548 students from 43 countries.
Lee Jung-geun, Chairman of the Woojung Education and Culture Foundation, said, "We hope that international students who have to live alone in a foreign country away from their hometowns will be able to ease their financial burdens through scholarships and focus on their studies, eventually serving as a bridge connecting their home countries and Korea."

In the future, I want to return to my home country and play a role in sharing and promoting the love I received in Korea."
In addition to scholarships for international students, Booyoung Group is actively engaged in educational social contribution activities, such as establishing and donating dormitories named 'Woojung (宇庭) Haksa' after Chairman Lee’s pen name to over 100 elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide. The group also leads ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management by donating 2,000 buses to Cambodia and Laos, supporting military units, improving elderly welfare, and providing rent-free daycare centers, among other philanthropic activities.
