POSCO Pohang Steelworks declared a new vision on the 12th, reaffirming its commitment to overcoming current challenges and securing future competitiveness.

At the 'Vision Declaration Ceremony,' attended by around 200 representatives including Pohang Steelworks Director Chun Siyeol, POSCO Labor-Management Council Employee Representative Lee Bonseok, and POSCO Labor Union Vice Chairman Cho Yangrae, the new slogan 'More Happiness, More Value'?selected through employee submissions?was unveiled.

'More Happiness' reflects the intention to promote the safety and well-being of all employees and partner company staff at the steelworks through the creation of a culture of happiness and exemplary leadership by managers.

'More Value' embodies the goal of enhancing new value with Pohang Steelworks' unique products and services, and further, of providing significant value to customers and the local community.

During the event, the 200 employee representatives recited the new slogan in unison, reaffirming their determination to restore the competitiveness of Pohang Steelworks.

Chun Siyeol, Director of Pohang Steelworks, said, "Through this vision declaration ceremony, we were able to confirm the united will of all employees to rebuild Pohang Steelworks' competitiveness. Moving forward, in line with the vision slogan 'More Happiness, More Value,' all employees will overcome difficult times together and restore the competitiveness of Pohang Steelworks."

Pohang Steelworks is striving to become a 'happier steelworks for employees' by directly listening to employees' concerns and proposing on-site improvement measures through town hall meetings held with field staff on July 31.
