A story shop that unravels traditional tales from the Ulsan region will open.

The Ulsan Museum announced on the 19th that it will hold the 2nd special exhibition, "Story Shop," in the museum's second-floor lobby from the 20th until October 20th.

This exhibition will explore the history and culture of the region through folktales that have been passed down in Ulsan. The exhibition consists of "Ulsan Regional Products," "Ulsan Filial Piety Products," and "A Small Bookstore in the Shop."

"Ulsan Regional Products" will feature the Whale Field story and the Lee Uirip story, highlighting Ulsan's specialties such as whale meat and iron.

"Ulsan Filial Piety Products" will showcase the Sambatgol story and the filial son Songdo story, introducing the filial deeds of ancestors as well as the origins of place names such as Hyomun-dong in Buk-gu.

"A Small Bookstore in the Shop" will exhibit the Munsusan Cat Jimba (a rope used for tying or binding) Rock folktale and traditional storybooks from Korea.

An official from the Ulsan Museum said, "We hope this will be a time for visitors to enjoy Ulsan's stories as if they are picking out interesting books at a shop," adding, "It will also be an opportunity to learn about the activities of local figures and the origins of place names in Ulsan through these stories."
