Army 37th Division Sergeant Dies in Helicopter Training Crash

A tragic accident occurred in which an Army non-commissioned officer died after falling during helicopter training.

According to the Army, around 9:45 a.m. on the 14th, Sergeant A (in his 30s) of the 37th Division fell from a height of 2 meters during helicopter rope descent training on Dutasan Mountain in Chopyeong-myeon, Jincheon-gun, Chungbuk.

Sergeant A was seriously injured immediately after the accident and was urgently transported by fire department helicopter to Chungbuk National University Hospital, but he ultimately passed away around 2:40 p.m.

The military authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
