This challenge, initiated by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in March, aims to raise awareness of the risks of cyber gambling and prevent damage as youth gambling has recently become a significant issue. After taking a photo with the placard, participants upload it to social networking services (SNS) and nominate three people to continue the relay.
Mayor Hong nominated Dong-han Yuk, Mayor of Chuncheon, Jae-ho Choi, Chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Young-ho Kim, Chief of Jinhae Police Station, as the next participants.
Mayor Hong stated, "Young people must recognize that cyber gambling is a scam crime that you can never win," and added, "Since youth cyber gambling is highly addictive, Changwon City will actively work to create a safe environment for the healthy growth of our youth."
