Samsung Display announced on the 12th that starting from the 5th (local time), it will run Samsung OLED wrapping advertisements on New York City tour buses for one month. This is to showcase Samsung's OLED technology to tourists visiting New York during the summer vacation season.
The advertisements are running on the downtown route that circles the southern part of Manhattan, including Times Square, the Empire State Building, and Wall Street, as well as the uptown route passing landmarks in the north such as the Natural History Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Central Park.
A Samsung Display official said, "The New York bus wrapping advertisement cleverly expresses the durability of Samsung Display's OLED against a sea backdrop," adding, "The illustration depicting bus passengers as vacationers playing in the water is impressive."
Samsung Display acquired the U.S. New York OLED company eMagin in May last year. In October, it conducted Samsung OLED pop-up marketing at Santa Monica Beach in Los Angeles, USA.
