The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will hold a 'Parents Dream Day' event on the 28th at the Suwon Veterans Education Research Institute, focusing on the role of parents in supporting student growth.
The event, themed around 'Dream,' will be divided into three sessions: Dream to Listen, Dream to Share, and Dream Together.
Dream to Listen is a meeting between the Superintendent and parents, featuring a lecture on the role of parents in supporting student growth. About 200 parents from selected schools for case sharing will participate on-site, and the event will be broadcast live via Channel GO3.
Dream to Share involves parents from 44 schools selected through a prior contest sharing their experiences in operating parent associations during the first half of the year. Dream Together will be a musical performance to foster a time of empathy.
Dream to Share will be conducted in two parts, with 150 participants each, allowing a total of 300 parents to attend. Parents wishing to register in advance can apply starting from the 12th by accessing the QR code provided in the information materials.
Gu Sun-yi, Director of the Administrative Capacity Policy Division at the Provincial Office of Education, stated, "Parents Dream Day is an important occasion to spread a healthy culture of educational participation based on respect, consideration, and trust within the educational community. We hope many parents will participate and take this opportunity to reflect on and share the future direction of parent associations."
