Yangcheon-gu Holds Event to Commemorate 'Youth Day'

Yangcheon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced on the morning of the 10th that it held the ‘2024 Youth Day Commemoration Event’ at Hanuri Hall in Yangcheon Haenuri Town.

This event is the first held to commemorate the designation of August 12th as Yangcheon-gu Youth Day, established by the Yangcheon-gu Youth Basic Ordinance enacted in December last year.

The event was attended by Mayor Lee Gi-jae, key guests, and about 300 children and youth from the district. Forty exemplary youth awardees and workers who serve as role models in the local community also participated, adding to the significance of the occasion.

Mayor Lee said, “Youth are the main agents and hope who will open the future of the Republic of Korea,” and added, “We will spare no effort to provide various supports so that youth can fully develop their capabilities and grow up healthily.”
