An 80-Year-Old Arrested for Stabbing Someone in the Eye During an Argument While Queuing at a Free Meal Center in Suwon

An man in his 80s who stabbed a similarly aged elderly man in the eye area after a dispute while standing in line at a free meal service was arrested by the police.

The Suwon Jungbu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province arrested Mr. A on the spot on the 6th on charges of special assault.

Mr. A is accused of stabbing Mr. B in the eye area at a free meal service in Jangan-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi Province, at around 5:18 PM that day.

Mr. B was transported to a hospital by paramedics and is receiving treatment. The exact extent of Mr. B's injuries, who is reported to be seriously hurt, has not yet been confirmed.

About 30 minutes before the incident, at around 4:45 PM, Mr. A and Mr. B had a verbal altercation and exchanged blows, prompting the police to respond once. At that time, both parties stated they did not wish to press charges, so they were given a warning.

The police are investigating the specific circumstances of the crime with the man.
