The fire department released a video of the fire situation on Facebook. In the video, two pet dogs and one pet cat were resting. Then, one of the dogs bit a battery pack equipped with a lithium-ion battery on the mattress with its teeth.

Suddenly, sparks and smoke started coming out of the battery pack, and it eventually exploded. This caused the mattress to catch fire, and the fire quickly spread throughout the living room. All the pets appeared startled by the rapidly spreading fire.

The fire was quickly extinguished thanks to the prompt response of the fire department. The animals inside the house also safely escaped through the door. It is reported that none of the animals were injured.

A Tulsa Fire Department official said, "If there had been no escape route or if the family had been asleep at the time, greater damage could have occurred," adding, "Many people keep these battery packs for convenience, but they are unaware of the potential dangers that batteries can cause." He emphasized, "Please be careful to store batteries so that children and pets at home cannot touch them."

Netizens responded with various comments such as, "Owners with pets should store battery packs out of reach of animals," "Glad the animals are safe," and "It could have led to a major fire accident."
