In the first half of the year, the city conducted audits on 10 apartment complexes subject to mandatory management, covering all aspects of management, accounting, facility management, construction, and services. Rather than focusing on punitive measures, the city guided self-improvement through on-site consulting and administrative guidance.
As a result, in the field, the presentation of management methods that comply with apartment-related laws and are efficient has been of practical help to the operation and management of apartments, leading to a high level of satisfaction among apartment workers and residents.
For the second half of the year, the audit will focus on 10 apartment complexes subject to mandatory management, with an emphasis on addressing the issues identified in the first half's audits.
In addition, in December, the city will conduct "On-site Apartment Management Consulting" by visiting the complexes audited in 2024 to check the implementation of corrective measures, focusing on issues that are challenging in the field. This is to ensure the effectiveness of the audits and prevent repeated violations. The city will also publish and distribute a casebook summarizing and analyzing major audit findings, with a focus on follow-up management.
Park Hyeonho, Director of the Urban Policy Bureau, stated, "We will operate the audit system to strengthen the expertise of management entities and the residents' representative council, so that a transparent and efficient apartment management culture can take root," and added, "We will continue to do our best to protect the rights and interests of residents and to create a substantial residential environment in apartment complexes."
