Additional Selection of Excellent School Meal Ingredients in Chungnam Province

High-quality ingredients from the Chungnam region will be served on students' tables.

The province announced on the 6th that it will select an additional 10 outstanding local food items in the second half of the year, bringing the total to 167 items from 42 companies.

The selected companies are producers of local agricultural, livestock, and marine products, as well as processed food manufacturers using these ingredients, which can be supplied and consumed for school meals.

The province plans to conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure the quality of the ingredients is maintained.

A provincial official stated, "We will continue to discover outstanding ingredient suppliers and provide them for school meals," adding, "This will not only help protect students' health but also establish a virtuous cycle for the local food system."
