DK Asia (DK Asia) will provide prize money to the Taeguk Warriors from Incheon who brought honor to the nation by winning medals at the Paris Olympics in France. According to DK Asia's announced prize money support plan, athletes who won gold medals at this Olympics will receive 100 million KRW, while those who won silver and bronze medals will receive 50 million KRW and 30 million KRW respectively, which will be delivered through the Incheon City Sports Council.
DK Asia's decision to provide prize money is not limited to the Paris Olympics. To foster pride in being affiliated with Incheon and to honor the sweat and passion of athletes who raised the national prestige of South Korea, the company plans to continuously provide prize money not only for the 2028 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, USA, four years later, but also thereafter.
With this prize money support plan, three athletes affiliated with Incheon will receive prize money. First, Jeon Hun-young, who set an unprecedented record of 10 consecutive wins in the women's team archery event and won the gold medal, will receive 100 million KRW. Jeon Eun-hye, who won the silver medal in fencing, will receive 50 million KRW, and Jung Ye-rin, who grabbed the bronze medal in judo, will receive 30 million KRW. The prize money presentation is scheduled to take place at Incheon City Hall on August 13.
DK Asia's social contribution activities are not limited to this Olympics. Embracing the business philosophy of coexistence and mutual growth, the company is leading efforts to promote the development of Incheon and public welfare.
In fact, DK Asia built and donated Handul Elementary School and its affiliated kindergarten in Incheon to nurture local talent. For the urban landscape of Incheon, they have transformed the city into a pleasant and attractive place through specialized lighting installations on Baekseok Bridge and Bongsu-daero, streetlight replacements, large-scale park development, and street tree planting.
Additionally, through the Seo-gu Office of Incheon, DK Asia actively supports social contribution activities by providing monthly meal expenses to dozens of local children's centers, thereby expanding positive influence within the local community.
Kim Jeong-mo, Chairman of DK Asia, said, “I sincerely congratulate Jeon Hun-young, who won the gold medal in archery at the Paris Olympics representing Incheon. This gold medal is a remarkable achievement in the history of Korean archery, marking an unprecedented record of 10 consecutive Olympic victories.” He also said, “I sincerely appreciate the efforts of Jeon Eun-hye, who won the silver medal in fencing in France, the birthplace of fencing, and Jung Ye-rin, who earned the bronze medal in women's judo.”
Furthermore, he stated, “DK Asia will continue to focus on enhancing the value of the local community and spreading positive influence through social contribution activities in various fields. We will make generous investments in the development of local culture and arts so that the citizens of Incheon can feel proud, grow together with the local community, and continuously strive to provide a better environment and opportunities for future generations.”
