Jin Seong-jun, the Policy Committee Chair of the Democratic Party of Korea, proposed to the People Power Party, "To open the way for urgent livelihood legislation, let's establish a discussion table among the policy committee chairs and start bipartisan consultations."
At the policy coordination meeting held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 6th, Chair Jin stated, "(The Yoon Seok-yeol administration) is trying to suffocate livelihoods through vetoes exercised almost addictively," and added, "We demand that the ruling party's new leadership take action to restore livelihoods even at this late stage." Referring to the 'establishment of a discussion table among policy committee chairs,' he said, "If Representative Han is sincere about livelihoods, there is no reason to oppose it. We await a prompt response."

Furthermore, he criticized, "The opposition party is also sincere and fully committed to the livelihood crisis at this cliff edge, so what are the government and ruling party doing?"
Chair Jin emphasized, "This summer's heatwave damage is severe," and added, "Since heatwave disasters are expected to continue, the authorities must make every effort to prevent damage." He continued, "In particular, urgent safety measures are desperately needed for the energy-poor who cannot even dare to turn on air conditioners or fans due to fear of electricity bills, and for outdoor workers."
Moreover, he responded, "Just yesterday, Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, said that the ruling and opposition parties should negotiate the electricity bill reduction bill for heatwave-vulnerable groups as a livelihood bill," and said, "Let's do that."
