The Gyeongbuk Provincial Council's Construction and Firefighting Committee (Chairman Park Soonbeom) conducted on-site inspections of areas affected by heavy rain, such as Waegwan in Chilgok and Munmu-daewang-myeon in Gyeongju, to prepare for natural disasters like typhoons and sudden torrential downpours.
On the 5th, committee members, along with officials from the Ministry of Land, Gyeongbuk Province, local city and county governments, and local residents, inspected the sites damaged by the typhoon.
Members of the Construction and Fire Committee of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council visited Munmu Daewang-myeon in Gyeongju City, where roads were washed away by the typhoon, to receive an explanation about the restoration status.

Since March last year, 4 billion KRW has been invested in expanding the drainage pump station at the Waegwan Underpass and installing an automatic entry-blocking facility for the underpass.
In Munmu-daewang-myeon, Gyeongju, roads were washed away by Typhoon Hinnamnor, and although restoration work is underway, only 60% of the process has been completed. The overall restoration rate for roads damaged by Hinnamnor is 90%, raising concerns that the area may suffer further damage if another typhoon occurs this year.
The Construction and Firefighting Committee members of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council urged, "Please complete the restoration work quickly to prevent a recurrence of casualties and property damage due to torrential rains this year, and establish mid- to long-term management plans for roads and facilities in areas prone to frequent damage."
