On the 6th, the Jongno Police Station in Seoul announced that they rescued Ms. A, who was about to jump from the 18th floor of a building in Jongno-gu at around 8:20 p.m. on the 2nd.

According to the police, officers from the Samcheong Police Box received a report that "a woman was hanging outside on the rooftop," and quickly responded to find Ms. A sitting on the rooftop railing in an intoxicated state.

The police, in cooperation with the fire department, prepared for Ms. A's potential fall by installing an air mattress on the first floor outside the building.

The responding officer went up to the rooftop and attempted to communicate, but Ms. A was sitting on a narrow space on the outer rooftop railing, making it difficult for the officer to approach. Additionally, she was unable to control her body due to intoxication, creating a critical situation with a risk of falling.

Recognizing the difficulty in communication, the police used the opportunity during their attempts to talk to grab Ms. A by the waist and pull her back inside the rooftop, safely rescuing her.

A police official stated, "Subsequent emergency treatment by the 119 paramedics confirmed that her life was not in danger," and added, "After a long conversation and persuasion, she was safely handed over to her guardian."
