Kakao has partnered with Starbucks to enhance the benefits of the Tok Student ID. Tok Student ID is a student identification service provided through the KakaoTalk Wallet.

On the 6th, Kakao announced that it has signed a business agreement with SCK Company, the operator of Starbucks.


Both companies have agreed to maintain a close cooperative relationship to create synergy based on their respective capabilities. In particular, they plan to introduce a dedicated rewards program within the year for university and graduate students using the Tok Student ID.


Kim Gwiyeon, Kakao Platform Service Performance Leader, said, "We partnered with Starbucks to provide benefits that university students who have issued the Kakao Tok Student ID can use conveniently in their daily lives. We will continue to collaborate with various brands to expand the Tok Digital Card service and strengthen benefits for users."


The Tok Student ID has surpassed 1 million cumulative issuances within one year of its launch, offering various benefits with simple authentication. Currently, it provides identification services for over 400 universities in Korea.
