‘SRT Ulleung Station’ Connecting Ulleungdo and Suseo Station Opens

Ulleung County in North Gyeongsang Province held an unveiling ceremony for the 'Ulleung Station' station name sign at the Ulleung Passenger Terminal (Dodong Port) on the 5th, together with SR and Daejeo Ferry, to promote tourism on Ulleungdo Island.

The ceremony was attended by County Governor Nam Hankwon, Council Chairperson Lee Sangsik, SR CEO Lee Jongguk, Daejeo Ferry CEO Song Yehyeon, and local residents.

The Ulleung Passenger Terminal currently operates routes between Ulleungdo and Pohang, Mukho, and Dokdo. The 'Ulleung Station' sign will be installed as a photo spot.

With this unveiling ceremony, the county plans to offer travel discounts for Ulleungdo in connection with SRT and Daejeo Ferry, as well as discounts at major tourist attractions.

County Governor Nam Hankwon said, "With the world's fastest ferry and the SRT connection, a new era has begun where Ulleungdo and Seoul can be reached within a day." He added, "We hope that tourists will be able to travel to Ulleungdo more conveniently and quickly."
