With the KOSPI and KOSDAQ indices plunging more than 8%, circuit breakers (CB) were triggered in both markets on the 5th. Dealers are seen working in the dealing room at the Hana Bank headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul. This simultaneous activation in both the KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets is the first time in 4 years and 5 months since March 13, 2020, during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
