MedicoX, a KOSDAQ-listed company, announced on the 1st that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the road safety total solution company ‘Smart Air Chamber (SAC)’ to enter the global market with a new concept shock absorption device that combines solid and gas, and agreed to form a task force team.
The two companies will cooperate to expand the global reach of existing products by integrating their respective manufacturing know-how and global human and material networks. At the same time, they will apply IT services to ship and port safety, autonomous driving traffic fields, and land and maritime transportation infrastructure, and build an 'AI system' that analyzes accident data to indicate injury levels according to the degree of collision.
Smart Air Chamber is a strong small and medium-sized enterprise with core technologies in shock absorption and road safety, aiming to improve road safety. Its main products include special vehicles for emergency road repair, mobile worker protection safety vehicles, air bumpers for automobile and ship shock absorption, and IoT traffic management systems.
Amid increased interest in road safety due to the strengthening of the Serious Accident Punishment Act, Smart Air Chamber’s new concept shock absorption device made of thermoplastic polyurethane, which passed the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s real vehicle collision test and was recognized for its performance, is also gaining attention. This device absorbs impact energy with appropriate air pressure in the event of a vehicle collision accident to protect people and vehicles.
It can be attached to the rear of work vehicles such as street sweepers and dump trucks, police cars, ships, or installed on road protection fences. The trailer-type Mobile Work Protection Safety Vehicle (MAB), developed by applying this facility, creates a work safety space with a variable-length shock absorption protective wall ranging from 16 to 32 meters, protecting the workers in the work area.
The road repair and safety management control system is also a core solution of the company. Utilizing IoT (Internet of Things) technologies such as advanced sensing and automatic monitoring, it monitors equipment, personnel, and safety facilities related to road repair in real time, collects the data, and uses it to improve road maintenance.
Smart Air Chamber has registered 49 patents including ▲airbag bumpers and monitoring devices ▲truck shock absorption devices ▲ship shock absorption devices ▲real-time worksite video broadcasting, and has acquired ISO14001, ISO9001, NeP, Inno-Biz, and GS certifications. It also holds all essential permits for vehicle manufacturing, including automobile manufacturer registration, construction machinery manufacturer assembler registration, parts manufacturer registration, and tuning work confirmation certificates.
Operating manufacturing facilities covering 3,800 pyeong in Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, it also runs the first private collision test facility of 700 pyeong capable of KOLAS certification. The facility includes a 150-meter-long test road.
