Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Welcomes Youth Cultural Exchange Between Mapo-gu and Gochang-gun

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the audiovisual room of Mapo District Office on the afternoon of the 29th to encourage the participating youths at the ‘Mapo District-Gochang County Youth Exchange Cooperation Project Welcome Ceremony.’

This visit, conducted to understand and personally experience the culture and environment between regions, takes place in Mapo District from July 29 to 31 for 2 nights and 3 days, with about 40 youths from Mapo District and Gochang County participating together.

The youths from Gochang County visiting Mapo District will, starting with this welcome ceremony, engage in various activities with Mapo youths at representative attractions of Mapo such as Hongdae Red Road, Mangwon Market, and Nanji Hangang Park, building friendships.

At the welcome ceremony, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, “I hope this exchange event will serve as a stepping stone for mutual understanding of each other’s regions and for growing together,” and added, “Although the time is short, I wish you all to enjoy the sights, food, and entertainment throughout Mapo and create precious memories.”
