Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 29th that it has won the grand prize in the blog category of the ‘2024 Social i-Award (i-AWARD)’ hosted by the Korea Internet Professionals Association for three consecutive years.
The ‘Social i-Award’ is the largest domestic awards ceremony in the social media and internet fields, evaluating innovative and excellent cases in areas such as social networking services (SNS) and media platforms.
From June to July, over a month, more than 3,800 internet expert judges comprehensively evaluated 15 indicators across five categories: content, marketing, service, visual, and brand.
Gwangsan-gu achieved high scores in all categories, earning the honor of winning the grand prize in the blog category.
The evaluation panel commented on Gwangsan-gu’s blog, saying, “It is not simply a local government blog that delivers information, but a space created together with citizens, with participatory content, which was impressive.”
Gwangsan-gu set a record as the first local government nationwide to win the award for three consecutive years since 2022.
They categorized the blog into ▲Saengsaeng Gwangsan ▲Gachi Gwangsan ▲Real Gwangsan ▲Kkul-tip Gwangsan, producing emotionally appealing and timely designs and useful informational content tailored to the latest trends.
Park Byung-gyu, Mayor of Gwangsan-gu, said, “I am very pleased that our efforts to actively utilize social networking services (SNS) as a channel to communicate with citizens and implement an open district administration have borne good results. As our district has proven its online promotional competitiveness, we will continue to strive to engage closely with our citizens.”
