The Presidential Office stated on the 26th that it is "closely consulting with relevant ministries, centered on the Fair Trade Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service," regarding the delayed settlement incident involving Wemakeprice and Tmon.
A Presidential Office official said during a meeting with reporters at the Yongsan Presidential Office that morning, "The Presidential Office is also closely monitoring the Wemakeprice and Tmon incident with careful attention."
The official explained about the ongoing confusion, "Relevant ministries are currently holding close consultations and responding swiftly," adding, "The Presidential Office has instructed to take responsive measures." Following the Presidential Office's directive, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups is reviewing the provision of 'emergency management stabilization funds' for affected small business owners.
Jeong Hye-jeon, spokesperson for the Presidential Office, is giving a briefing on current issues regarding the resignation of Lee Sang-in, Vice Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, at the Presidential Office building in Yongsan, Seoul, on the 26th.

The Presidential Office official said, "Specific measures such as emergency management stabilization funds will be handled by each ministry," and added, "The Fair Trade Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service are jointly inspecting the situation on site and reviewing measures to address damages to consumers and tenant sellers."
Earlier, the Presidential Office had expressed its position to closely monitor the situation related to the Wemakeprice and Tmon incident and to make every effort to prevent further harm to consumers and sellers.
