Trump's Nephew: "Uncle, Don't Let My Disabled Son Die"

Donald Trump, the former U.S. president and Republican presidential candidate, has been accused of telling his nephew to let his disabled son die.

According to The Guardian and others on the 24th (local time), Trump’s nephew Fred C. Trump III (hereafter Fred) revealed this incident in his upcoming book 'All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Got This Way.' Fred is the son of Fred Trump Jr., Trump’s older brother who passed away in 1981 at the age of 43.

Fred’s son, born in 1999, was diagnosed with a rare disease after just three months, which reportedly caused his disability. Fred contacted former President Trump in 2020 to secure funds for his son’s treatment. Fred claims that during the call, Trump paused briefly, sighed, and said, "I don’t know. Your son doesn’t recognize you. Just let him die and move to Florida."

Fred also recalled hearing Trump say at a White House meeting with doctors and disability rights advocates, "Considering their situation and the costs, maybe those people should just die." Fred said, "I didn’t know what to say. We were talking about human life, and he was talking about costs," adding, "My uncle’s remarks were terrible. I was hurt hearing them."

In the book, Fred also alleges that Trump used the 'n-word' to disparage Black people within the family. The n-word is a euphemism for the derogatory terms negro or nigger. Fred claims that in the early 1970s, Trump became furious when someone scratched his beloved Cadillac Eldorado convertible and harshly criticized presumed Black suspects using the n-word.

This revelation comes as Trump is widely expected to face off against Kamala Harris, the Black and Indian American vice president, in the November presidential election. Harris recently secured a majority of delegates needed for the presidential nomination, according to an AP poll.
