He led Samsung Electronics' European sales division, achieving the number one position in the European TV market, and as head of the mobile division at the U.S. subsidiary and MX strategic marketing office, he is credited with driving the global sales and market share expansion of Samsung smartphones.
Hyosung TNS expects to take a further leap in expanding global markets such as the U.S. and Europe based on CEO Bangseop Choi’s extensive experience and global mindset.
Hyosung IT affiliate Hyosung ITX also held an extraordinary general meeting and board meeting on the same day, appointing Hyejin Hong, Head of IT Strategy at Hyosung Co., Ltd. (Vice President), as the new CEO.
Hyosung ITX transitioned to a dual CEO system with Kyunghwan Nam leading the existing business sectors such as contact centers, and the newly appointed CEO Hyejin Hong leading the IT new business sector. The company explained that this was to maximize synergy effects through responsible management of each business sector.
CEO Hong is an IT expert who has led IT strategy and marketing for over 30 years at Samsung Electronics and Samsung SDS. She graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Computational Statistics in 1988 and earned a master's degree in Technology Management from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008.

CEO Hong stated, "I will take charge of and nurture new business divisions such as digital transformation and Internet Data Centers (IDC)," adding, "I plan to devote all efforts to discovering new future businesses."
