원본보기 아이콘Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) announced on the 16th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Housing Construction Association Seoul Chapter and the Seocho-gu Volunteer Center to support space improvement projects for vulnerable groups in the region.
Through this agreement, Seocho-gu plans to promote the space improvement support project and actively identify beneficiaries among vulnerable groups. The Korea Housing Construction Association will provide 20 million KRW in sponsorship funds for the space improvement project, and the Seocho-gu Volunteer Center will actively carry out projects to improve spaces for housing-vulnerable groups.
Seocho-gu especially plans to create and gift study rooms where low-income children, who find it difficult to secure a place to study due to poor living conditions, can focus on their studies in their own private space. Not only simple wallpapering and flooring, but also with the help of experts, efficient
space arrangement, lighting, desks, and other necessary furniture will be customized and supported. Through this, the project aims to provide children with emotional and psychological stability and help them grow healthily.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Jeon Seong-su, Hong Kyung-sun, President of the Korea Housing Construction Association Seoul Branch, and Kim Yu-mi, Director of the Seocho-gu Volunteer Center. Mayor Jeon said, “We will strive to use the sponsorship funds frugally to provide wonderful spaces for housing-vulnerable groups.”
