Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital Faces Emergency Medical Center Disruptions as Four Specialists Resign

Following the departure of the last pediatric specialist at the Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital Pediatric Emergency Medical Center in May, the center will now operate on a reduced scale as half of the emergency medicine specialists have recently submitted their resignations.

Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital announced on the 16th that the emergency medical center will be operating on a limited basis until the 21st.

The suspension period will be from 8 a.m. on the 16th to 8 a.m. on the 17th, and from the 17th to the 21st, the center will be completely closed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following day.

This is due to four out of eight emergency medicine specialists submitting their resignations, and the center will now be operated by the remaining four specialists.

A hospital representative stated, "We sincerely apologize for the sudden disruption in medical services," and added, "We are making every effort to recruit substitute staff."
