As the inconvenience for residents increased due to the aging facility, the county completely suspended operations earlier this year and reopened on the 2nd after about six months of remodeling work.
The air conditioning and heating units, which frequently broke down and caused operational issues, were replaced, and rooftop waterproofing, deck replacement, and restroom remodeling were carried out, allowing residents to use the library in a safe and comfortable environment.
A Gijang-gun official said, "We are grateful to the local residents for their understanding of the inconvenience caused by the library's temporary closure for such a long time," and promised, "We will repay you with convenient and pleasant facility management and even richer and more diverse programs."
Junggwan Children's Library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and until 6 p.m. on weekends, except for its regular closing day on Mondays. For more information, please visit the website or contact Junggwan Children's Library directly.
