Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director So Yooseop) is selecting scholarship students among local residents and their children.
The number of recipients will be 600 university students and 50 high school students, with a total scholarship fund of 635 million KRW.
To apply for the scholarship, applicants must visit the Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters Global Training Center in person with the application form and a copy of their ID. The application period is from the 24th to the 30th.
University students must be currently enrolled in a domestic accredited university and meet the GPA requirements for each recruitment category based on their academic transcript for the first semester of 2024, as well as residency requirements.
High school students are eligible if they or their parents are recipients of basic livelihood security, members of a legally recognized single-parent family, or classified as lower-income with reduced personal medical expenses, and are either attending a school located in the vicinity of the power plant or residing in the surrounding area.
Residency requirements state that as of the announcement date (July 15), the applicant or their parents must have resided continuously for at least three years in Seosaeng-myeon or Onyang-eup, Ulju-gun, or have resided for at least one year with a combined total residency period of at least 15 years including the present.
