Inha University Holds Meeting with Stakeholders of Work-Learning Dual System and Advanced Industry Academy Projects

Inha University recently announced on the 15th that it held a community meeting between participating companies and corporate managers of the 2024 IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System.

The Work-Learning Dual System project is a program led by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, where universities and companies collaborate to provide systematic theoretical education and on-site training to learning workers, focusing on practical, customized talent development. One advantage is that learning workers can be converted to full-time employees at the learning company immediately upon graduation.

The community meeting was attended by over 40 people from 18 companies currently participating in the Work-Learning Dual System and Advanced Industry Academy projects, including field instructors and HRD (Human Resource Development) managers from companies such as Medialog, Jusung Engineering, Finger, Humax Holdings, ATI, and iNavi Systems, as well as officials from the Incheon branch of the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.

At the Inha University IPP Dual Joint Training Center community meeting, the operation status of the IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System project, administrative guidance, coaching and counseling techniques for learning workers, and networking among companies were conducted.

Additionally, a practical manager from Hanwha Savings Bank, a company participating in last year's Work-Learning Dual System project, gave an excellent case presentation, sharing examples of learning workers’ conversion to full-time employees, and the necessary competencies of company field instructors and HRD managers, which increased the willingness of new companies to participate.

Choi Kwang-pyo, a company field instructor at iNavi Systems, said, "Through the Work-Learning Dual System project, we aim to select learning workers with high potential, allow them to experience corporate culture and practical work, and incubate them into specialized personnel needed by the company. It was a meaningful occasion to share operational know-how of the Work-Learning Dual System with leading companies from various industrial fields through the corporate community meeting."

Jung Tae-wook, director of the Inha University IPP Dual Joint Training Center, said, "We hope to continue close cooperation with many participating companies through this meeting," and added, "We look forward to the interest and participation of many diverse companies in the Work-Learning Dual System project in the future."

Meanwhile, the Inha University IPP Dual Joint Training Center was recently selected as an 'Excellent University' for three consecutive years in the IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System project performance evaluation. Currently, it operates programs in four fields: semiconductor equipment development, software development, marketing strategy planning, and electronic device hardware development. Starting this year, it was selected as an operating institution for the Advanced Industry Academy project, running two job roles: semiconductor design and artificial intelligence development.
