Busan Municipal Myeongjang Library (Director Kim Jeongnam) will host a special reading experience program titled "Spending Summer at Myeongjang Library with Family" for 24 families with preschoolers and elementary school children from August 4 to 18.
This program is designed to provide the joy of reading through various experiences with family members in the library during the hot summer.
The event will involve families reading books together and participating in activities related to the books.
The program includes: reading "A Day of Waves" and making a glass art sea mood lamp; reading "Grandmother's Summer Vacation" and creating a sea glass phone grip; and reading "Summer Light" and making a summer-scented diffuser.
Those who wish to participate can apply on a first-come, first-served basis through the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education Integrated Reservation Portal starting at 10 a.m. on the 16th. Participation is in teams of two (one parent and one child). Both the class and materials are free of charge. For more details, please visit the Myeongjang Library website.
Kim Jeongnam, Director of Myeongjang Library, said, "I hope this event will be a great opportunity for Busan families to enjoy reading together this summer," and added, "We will continue to offer a variety of reading experience programs."
