Sancheong County in Gyeongnam is expanding cultural experience opportunities for youth by utilizing the Hometown Love Fund. According to Sancheong County on the 15th, the Hometown Love Fund project "Watching Movies Like Going Out for a Stroll" will be implemented.
This project, targeting youth, was prepared not only to provide cultural enjoyment opportunities in the face of local residents' limited access to culture, but also to vitalize the small cinema in Sancheong County.
Sancheong County's Hometown Love Fund Project is providing elementary, middle, and high school students enrolled at Sancheong Elementary School with the opportunity to experience youth culture through movie screenings.
원본보기 아이콘Starting with Sancheong Elementary School, a total of 1,979 elementary, middle, and high school students will be invited to the small cinema in Sancheong County to watch movies by the end of this year.
This month, the county plans to support about 400 students, including those from Sancheong Elementary School, Sincheon Elementary School, Samjang Elementary School, and Deoksan High School.
One youth said, "I didn't know there was a cinema in Sancheong. I was happy to have the opportunity to watch a movie this time," adding, "I will continue to watch movies at the small cinema in Sancheong County in the future."
An official from Sancheong County stated, "We hope this project will provide youth with opportunities to enjoy arts and culture, and also serve as a chance to promote the small cinema in Sancheong County."
