The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will train 600 instructors in preparation for the introduction of Artificial Intelligence Digital Textbooks (AIDT).


On the 15th, the Office announced plans to recruit 600 teachers with expertise in artificial intelligence digital textbooks, edutech, and curriculum to support schools for the phased introduction of AI digital textbooks starting in 2025.


The instructor training program will be conducted in August and will cover key courses such as ▲Understanding Artificial Intelligence Digital Textbooks ▲Lesson Planning ▲Creating Lecture Plans for Digital Textbook Application Training ▲Peer Evaluation and Feedback.


The Office of Education will especially ensure that the selected instructors provide uniform support to all teachers in the province by organizing training programs tailored to the characteristics of each grade and subject.


Hong Jeong-pyo, Director of Talent Development at the Office of Education, stated, "Teacher training for the application of AI digital textbooks is scheduled to take place over three years starting this September," adding, "We will actively work to ensure the stable introduction of digital textbooks in 2025 and realize digital-based education, a core future competency for teachers."


Meanwhile, starting this September, the Office will operate digital textbook implementation training for elementary and secondary school teachers (English, Mathematics, and Information subjects) in the field using the trained instructors.
