Lee Kyung-sook, a five-term Dobong District Council member and Seoul Metropolitan Councilor (Dobong 1, Transportation), was appointed as the senior deputy floor leader of the People Power Party, marking the formation of the party's floor leadership team.
The People Power Party in the Seoul Metropolitan Council announced on the 10th that Lee Sung-bae, the representative councilor (Songpa 4, re-elected), had appointed the party's second half floor leadership team.
The bylaws of the People Power Party negotiation group in the Seoul Metropolitan Council stipulate the representative councilor's authority to appoint party officials.
Representative Lee Sung-bae and the second half floor leadership team of the People Power Party negotiation group will have Councilor Lee Kyung-sook (Dobong 1, Transportation) as the senior deputy floor leader, along with Deputy Floor Leaders for Legal and Bills Gwak Hyang-gi (Dongjak 3, Environment and Water Resources), Planning Kim Gyu-nam (Songpa 1, Culture, Sports and Tourism), External Cooperation Lee Hee-won (Dongjak 4, Education), Communication and Cooperation Song Kyung-taek (Proportional Representation, Administration and Autonomy), Public Relations Yoon Young-hee (Proportional Representation, Health and Welfare), and Public Relations Chae Su-ji (Yangcheon 1, Education).
Representative Lee emphasized the operation of a small but efficient floor leadership team and promised balanced opportunities and support for councilors in the second half to highlight each member's expertise and capabilities.
Regarding the floor leadership appointments, he expressed confidence, saying, "I feel reassured to work with senior deputy floor leader Lee Kyung-sook, who has wisdom and inclusiveness from her five-term experience in local councils, along with councilors Gwak Hyang-gi, Kim Gyu-nam, Lee Hee-won, Song Kyung-taek, Yoon Young-hee, and Chae Su-ji, who have been recognized for their abilities and communication skills both inside and outside the standing committees in the first half."
He also stated, "We aim to smoothly proceed with bipartisan agreements and the second half organizational procedures together with the chairperson team, which began their term on July 1, and the Democratic Party representative councilors. We will strive to quickly form a united People Power Party team and promote policies that citizens can feel on the ground with a sense of immediacy and speed."
