On the 11th, MOLIT announced that it held a 'Overseas Construction Order Platform' meeting in Seoul. Representatives from the overseas construction industry, including GS Construction and Daewoo Construction, as well as related public institutions such as the Korea Energy Economics Institute and relevant associations like the Overseas Construction Association, attended the meeting.

Through this meeting, MOLIT shared with the industry the achievements and plans of the public-private joint overseas construction order support group for the first half of the year, policy directions to revitalize overseas investment development projects, global trends in green energy projects, market trends, and government support policies.

First, they explained various projects in fields such as smart cities, railroads and roads, airports and plants, and high-speed rail vehicles, which were discovered through government-to-government (G2G) cooperation with a total of 11 countries in the first half of this year. Notably, they announced results following President Yoon Seok-yeol's visit to three Central Asian countries last month and the dispatch of the overseas construction order support group to Rwanda in April.

MOLIT also communicated with representatives of the overseas construction industry about the necessary support to increase overseas construction orders. This aims to create successful cases of overseas investment development projects such as urban development. MOLIT plans to promote a package-type advancement supported by the government and public institutions at each stage, including project discovery, commercialization support, financial procurement, and investment.

The Korea Energy Economics Institute and the Overseas Construction Association, which attended the meeting, presented on trends in the green energy construction market, which is gaining attention due to carbon neutrality, and directions for domestic companies to enter the market.

Minister Park Sang-woo of MOLIT said, "We plan to actively promote overseas investment development projects to seize new opportunities such as urban development and green energy," adding, "We will actively communicate with the industry and experts through various communication channels, including the overseas construction order platform."
