Porn Actress in 'Trump Sexual Scandal' Received 1.3 Billion Donation

"Threats to Safety After Trump Trial Testimony"
Fundraising for Family Relocation and Legal Fees

Stormy Daniels (45), a former adult film actress involved in the 'hush money' scandal of former U.S. President Donald Trump, has reportedly received donations totaling approximately $940,000 (about 1.3 billion KRW) from her supporters so far.

According to the British Guardian on the 6th (local time), about 17,600 supporters of Daniels participated in fundraising efforts to help her move to a safe house and cover legal fees after she testified in the criminal trial where President Trump was found guilty on 34 charges related to the case.

The fundraising campaign was started by Daniels' friend and former manager, Dwayne Crawford, through the online fundraising site GoFundMe, with a goal of $1 million (about 1.4 billion KRW).

Crawford posted on the fundraising site, stating, "Stormy Daniels and her family need help to move to a place where they feel safe," and appealed for support to help Daniels cover the increasing legal fees as she faces off against former President Trump, who is financially well-off.

Daniels recently appeared on the U.S. MSNBC network, claiming that Trump’s supporters harassed her through social media and issued threats to kill her family.

Former President Trump was indicted in March last year on charges of falsifying company records to disguise a $130,000 payment (about 180 million KRW) made through his personal lawyer Michael Cohen just before the 2016 presidential election to prevent Daniels from revealing their sexual relationship. Daniels’ testimony is reported to have played a decisive role in the jury’s guilty verdict on 34 charges against Trump on May 30 at the Manhattan Criminal Court in New York.

Meanwhile, the presiding court has postponed the sentencing of former President Trump by about two months from the originally announced date, scheduling it for September 18.
