The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA held the '2024 Osaka K-Lifestyle Fair' exhibition consultation at the OMM Exhibition Hall in Osaka, Japan, on the 4th.
This consultation event was attended by 88 Korean domestic companies and export beginner companies in four sectors: healthcare, beauty, food, and household goods. These companies showcased their products to about 300 Japanese buyers, consumers, and influencers to explore export possibilities.
Among the participating companies, 33 met on-site with major local distributors and specialized vendors such as Don Quijote, Rohto Pharmaceutical, and Edion for export consultations. The remaining 55 companies, which only participated in the product showcase, had KOTRA staff conduct consultations with buyers on their behalf.
At the venue, innovative products such as magnetic false eyelashes attracted attention. Items like sun mist that can be sprayed frequently during the hot summer and disposable cooling towels were also highlights. Additionally, various events such as K-food tasting sessions and new product pop-up stores drew visitors' interest.
Son Hogil, head of the KOTRA Osaka Trade Center, said, "K-consumer goods in Japan have established themselves not as a temporary trend but as a genre. We will continue to support our companies on the front lines so that they can successfully enter and take root in the Japanese market."
