On the 25th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam selected six departments that contributed to performance improvement and organizational culture enhancement as the Best Dream Teams for the first half of 2024 and awarded them commendations to achieve the city administration goal of "Ilsacheonri."
The Best Dream Teams for the first half of 2024 are as follows: ▲ Grand Prize (1) Future Strategy Division of the Future Strategic Industry Bureau ▲ Excellence (2) Public Facilities Division of the Urban Policy Bureau, Livestock Division of the Agricultural Technology Center ▲ Encouragement (3) Job Creation Division of the Economic and Employment Bureau, Tourism Division of the Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and Environmental Division of Uichang-gu.
The Future Strategy Division, which was selected as the Grand Prize winner, successfully hosted a variety of events with citizens, businesses, and workers from April 23 to 27 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the designation of the Changwon National Industrial Complex. The division was highly praised for designating the nation's first Digital Masan Free Trade Zone and attracting related large-scale national projects, establishing a base for innovative growth over the next 50 years.
In addition, the Public Facilities Division contributed to systematizing processes by creating standard guides related to public facility projects. The Livestock Division established the largest pet complex cultural space in the Yeongnam region, including an integrated animal protection center, pet support center, and walking trails. The Environmental Division of Uichang-gu was recognized for its swift response and handling of a major water pollution accident through department collaboration and joint control with related agencies. These and other departments demonstrated efforts to achieve various city administration outcomes in multiple fields.
Jang Geumyong, the First Deputy Mayor, stated, "Despite many difficult circumstances, I would like to express my encouragement and gratitude to all the staff who have worked day and night to achieve our administrative goals and improve performance. In the upcoming second half of the year, I will do my best together with our staff to make Changwon City an even better place."
Meanwhile, Changwon Special City plans to continue selecting Best Dream Teams every half year to enhance administrative competitiveness, boost staff morale, and create a workplace where hardworking employees are recognized and rewarded.
