Kumho Construction announced on the 24th that it will open the model house for ‘Cheongju Technopolis Atera’ on the 27th and begin full-scale sales.


Located at 19 Songjeol-dong, Cheongju-si, Chungbuk, Cheongju Technopolis Atera will consist of 17 buildings ranging from 4 basement floors to a maximum of 35 floors above ground, with a total of 1,450 households and exclusive areas ranging from 84 to 138㎡. It is the largest complex within Technopolis, and all units will be sold to the general public. The company explained that the sale price was set lower than the market price due to the application of the price ceiling system. The average sale price per 3.3㎡ (pyeong) of this complex is 12.37 million KRW.


Starting with special supply on the 1st and 2nd of next month, first-priority subscriptions will be accepted on the 3rd. Winners will be announced on the 10th of the same month, and contracts will be signed over seven days from the 22nd to the 28th.


Cheongju is a non-regulated area, so as long as the subscription savings account has been active for more than six months and the deposit requirements by region and area are met, first-priority subscription is possible even if the applicant owns a house or is not the head of the household. For the 84㎡ exclusive type, 60% of the units are selected by lottery, and for types exceeding 85㎡ exclusive area, 100% are selected by lottery. There are no restrictions on re-winning regardless of previous subscription wins, and the resale restriction period is one year.


Cheongju Technopolis Atera is the first complex to apply Kumho Construction’s new residential brand ‘Atera’ and will feature specialized designs. First, the buildings are arranged mainly facing south to maximize sunlight and daylight rights, with a focus on 4-bay slab-type layouts. Some units have three-sided openings, alpha rooms, specialized attic spaces on the top floors, and terraces. Large dressing rooms and pantries also enhance space utilization.


Specialized community facilities are also provided. These include a 35th-floor sky lounge, indoor swimming pool, multipurpose gymnasium, indoor golf practice range, guest house, and fitness center. Additionally, wide distances between buildings (up to 115m) secure daylight rights and minimize interference between households, with an average of 1.64 parking spaces per household.


Excellent residential conditions are another advantage. Cheongju Technopolis, where the complex is located, is a self-sufficient complex city with a total floor area of approximately 3.8 million ㎡ and a total project cost of 2.1584 trillion KRW. Major companies such as SK Hynix and LG Household & Health Care have already moved in. It is also close to Cheongju General Industrial Complex and Osong Science Industrial Complex.


It is convenient to access major downtown areas of Cheongju via the 2nd and 3rd ring roads, and Osong Station, served by KTX and SRT, is nearby. The metropolitan road network is well established with Seo Cheongju IC on the Jungbu Expressway and Cheongju IC on the Gyeongbu Expressway, allowing easy travel anywhere nationwide. The planned opening of Buk Cheongju Station on the Cheonan-Cheongju Airport double-track railway is expected to further improve transportation conditions.


In addition, Naegok Elementary School is located right in front of the complex, and a middle school is planned. The central commercial area is within walking distance, and the complex retail facility Shinsegae Traders is planned, allowing convenient access to various lifestyle amenities.
