‘Wirye Simphonia’ Holds Seminar with GongppaTV

Hanmi Global D&I, which is set to supply the high-end senior residence ‘Symphonia’ in Wirye New Town, Songpa-gu, Seoul, in March next year, held a 'Senior Housing Seminar' at the COEX conference room on the 20th to help foster a proper understanding of senior housing.

At the seminar, Moon Seong-taek, CEO of Gongppa TV, a senior housing specialized YouTube channel, and author of ‘Silver Town All Guide,’ gave a presentation on the topic of ‘The Necessity and Importance of Senior Housing.’ Moon, who is also an oriental medicine doctor with 24 years of experience running a clinic, stated, “Meal is the most important factor to prevent diseases and dementia, and the biggest difficulty elderly people face daily is maintaining a balanced diet.” He added, “Senior housing provides high-quality meals along with hobbies, leisure activities, exercise, medical care, and daily convenience support, making it a place where residents can live healthily for 10 to 15 years longer than their actual age.”

In the following session, Yoo Young-ran, co-operator of Gongppa TV and CEO of ‘Gongma,’ presented on ‘Considerations for Selecting Senior Housing.’ Yoo said, “First, you should check the monthly living expenses including management fees and meal costs, as well as the deposit, and consider your financial capability. You also need to evaluate whether it is a rural or urban type, sale or rental type, presence of nursing facilities, exercise management programs, and hospital accessibility.” She added, “It is also a checkpoint to verify that there are no ownership disputes or complicated interests involved.”

Hanmi Global D&I, the organizer of the event, introduced the unique features and services of Wirye Symphonia, which has excellent accessibility to the Gangnam area. Wirye Symphonia is scheduled to be supplied in Jangji-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, in March next year, with a total of 115 units across four basement floors and up to nine floors above ground.

Wirye Symphonia offers a variety of resident care services and cultural, leisure, and event programs, which are key advantages of senior residence living. Basic services include healthy meals prepared by a dedicated nutritionist, housekeeping services such as cleaning, tidying, and waste separation within units, and concierge services to assist residents with daily life. Furthermore, with a nurse’s office and healthcare room within the building, 24-hour health consultation systems, personalized exercise recommendations, and nutritional diet coaching are provided as part of health management services. In addition, about 20 educational programs per month will be offered by specialized professionals in various fields. Weekly programs include experiential activities linked with the Serotonin Culture Center founded by psychiatrist Dr. Lee Si-hyung, who first introduced the happiness hormone ‘serotonin’ in Korea, as well as dementia prevention lectures and physical activity programs led by oriental medicine doctor Park Chan-seo. A Hanmi Global D&I official stated that various community facilities such as program rooms, golf, sauna, fitness center, and multipurpose auditorium will be established for residents, and club activities and one to two monthly events will be held to promote interaction among residents.
