Busan Office of Education Holds 'Workplace Training for Disability Awareness Improvement' with Barefoot Walking

Enhancing Disability Awareness and Sharing the Benefits of Barefoot Walking

The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yoonsoo) will hold a "Disability Awareness Improvement Workplace Education" session for approximately 500 employees at the main auditorium of the Office of Education on the 20th.


This special lecture will feature Professor Kwon Taekhwan's keynote speech on "Disability Awareness Improvement Education with Barefoot Walking." Professor Kwon will enhance understanding of disabilities and introduce the benefits of barefoot walking through his lecture.


Professor Kwon Taekhwan currently serves as a professor in the Department of Special and Inclusive Education at Daegu National University of Education and as the director of the affiliated Center for Student with Disabilities Support. He is especially well known as the principal of the nationwide Barefoot School and is recognized as an authority on the "barefoot walking" movement. He is actively engaged in lectures, including his book "Barefoot Revolution."


Ha Yoonsoo, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education, said, "I hope this special lecture will not only improve employees' awareness of disabilities but also provide a meaningful opportunity to learn about barefoot walking and take care of their health in connection with our Office of Education's 'Morning Che-in-ji' activity."
