Following the Korea-Africa Summit held in Seoul, more companies are showing interest in the "young African continent." In the IT sector, Nuriplex is leading the way in pioneering the African market.
Nuriplex, an AI-based green energy solutions company, announced on the 18th that it has signed a pilot project contract for an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system with Growth Point Property, a company based in South Africa.
Nuriplex will install the AMI system, which includes intelligent metering infrastructure for electricity and water, in all buildings owned by Growth Point Property. Growth Point is a publicly listed company with total assets worth approximately 12 trillion KRW and is South Africa's largest private developer, operating 541 complexes across South Africa as well as in the UK, Poland, Romania, and Australia.
Nuriplex plans to install smart meters, Head-End Systems (HES), Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS), and Billing Systems for high-voltage customers in the Central Point Precinct complex located in Pretoria, South Africa. The pilot project will last for six months, and if expanded to all Growth Point complexes, the total project scale is expected to be around 20 billion KRW.
Nuriplex intends to focus on developing the African and South American markets by utilizing AI-based green energy solutions such as AMI solutions, Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platforms, microgrid solutions, energy management systems (FEMS, BEMS, HEMS), and Partial Discharge Monitoring Systems (PTMS).
Last month, Nuriplex participated in "Enlit Africa 2024" held in Cape Town, South Africa, where it showcased its Partial Discharge Monitoring System (PTMS). Following the exhibition and the Korea-Africa Summit, numerous business discussions are underway in South Africa and other regions.
